    The garden. AHhhhhhMAZING.

Dog pic of the pair toward the end. Very rich.

How I wish it was us together walking thru your garden with the dogs.

What is your exterior color trinity???

    Love the art.

    XO T

    • One day YOU will come due WEST MY DEAR!
My color TRINITY……..I had to go find your books and look that up last night!!
I would say its cement…..concrete urns, fountain and benches plus a few small statues mark the backyard.I do only white and yellow in the back garden. Some of the roses are RED which drives me mad but I just pluck and bring indoors! The nursery explained to me once that they were derived from a red stock in the very beginning???
The dogs follow me everywhere in the garden!Especially SIR WINSTON the petite NAPOLEAN looking fellow!
      XOXOX

      AHA!!

It is called a “SPORT”!!! (when the original color of the flower is changed..and all of a sudden one comes back!”

Tara is that right? That is what my Mommie taught me! There is one branch on my Mommie’s azalea! It is all this mass of pink blooms….and then is one branch of fuchsia!

That azalea in a pot is 65 years old!

      Looking better than me!!!

When you come west…….you will love La Contessa in Orinda…..and you have to come see me too!!!

      and Lotusland!!!

I adore your white roses and all the pets and chandelier! I think I’d like to live there!! Beautiful. Also the portraits are darling. Hard to believe the last is a painting. It’s lovely. • Marsha @ Splenderosa

Your garden so reminds me of Penelope’s. Tumbling roses everywhere, and maybe of Trish’s as well. It is completely totally YOU! And, the fact that you love all living creatures makes me so happy to know you, I’m always surrounded by dogs and when they go to the groomer I actually miss them. Now, what on Earth can one say about those incredible artworks of you? These are gifts given with much love and ones that will last a lifetime. The best kind. xx’s

  • Jody Brettkelly

Oh gosh, LC, everything is showing like crazy, stunning. And love those curtains guiding you to more wonderfulness! I can smell the roses from here. I wish we could get more rain this week apparently very sunny and hot! what in the heck is happening?

  • Piedmont Pembroke Parent

    Ma chere Contessa,

This tantalizing photographic walk through your garden is a breath of Spring! T’is pure joy to oogle the yellow and cream palette and delight in the petal soft freshness of your gorgeous roses.
And ohhh..the hidden surprises, a sparkling chandelier sways here, a veil of curtain hangs gently at the end of a pathway, lazy cat lies flat on the bricks warm in the sun. I should be so lucky.
    Merci beaucoup for visual treat!

Oh that cat! Your garden is fantabulous. Does such a word even exist? Hope you get your rain. It might sprinkle here too. So I’m happy.

  • Anita Rivera

CONTESSA! HELLO! My goodness, this is such a beautiful place you have here! Your garden is very similar to mine in that I have white drapes in my enclosed patio, arbors, many stone features, BUT…I want a chandelier for my garden! You are lovely, and your kind words today have made my day. I am glad that you are now receiving my blog posts! You are welcome any time! Anita
